According to this country’s Minister of Health, Wellness and the Environment Hon. St. Clair Prince, there has been an over fifty percent decrease in mosquito infestation in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

“Since the implementation of 1.6 million dollar dengue fever response plan in October of 2020, the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment, through its insect vector control unit has been able to achieve more than fifty percent reduction in the level of mosquito infestation found in and around premises in all localities within St. Vincent and the Grenadines.” He said.

The Minister went on to disclose that so far in 2021 only 62 cases of Dengue Fever have been recorded in country. He stated that the current indices recorded in St. Vincent and the Grenadines are currently at the lowest they’ve been in six years.
