While speaking on the Issues at Hand program aired on Sundays on WEFM, this country’s Prime Minister Dr. Hon. Ralph Gonsalves addressed the recent policing of COVID-19 protocols in SVG and called for the enforcement of these protocols to be consistent.
“During the week they went and talked to establishments, so I was advised; and on Friday night they took certain steps. But when they’re taking these steps they have to be consistent and they have to even handed and you can’t tell people that so many persons can’t be there on a Friday evening and then on a Sunday you allow something to happen, you can’t have inconsistency in policing.” He said.
Prime Minister Gonsalves said that if any inconsistency in the police occurs, it should be called out, but stressed that the presence of inconsistency does not mean there should be no policing of the protocols at all.
