The Central Water and Sewerage Authority (CWSA) continue to take steps to increase its water storage capacity in an effort to mitigate the effects of the dry season.

Speaking on Thursday 10th February 2022 on WEFM’s Wake Up Morning Programme, general manager of the Central Water and Sewerage Authority (CWSA), Mr. Garth Saunders said that currently the CWSA has a total island wide water storage capacity of 5.8 million gallons.

Mr. Saunders noted that during the dry season the CWSA taps into rivers at high elevation in an effort to be able to continue to supply water at an affordable cost.

Meanwhile, Mr. Saunders is encouraging homeowners to ensure they have a home water storage plan in the likely event the water supply to your area has to be interrupted.
