Young Unemployed Vincentian University Graduates are being encouraged to register for the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme.

The programme offers Nationals the opportunity to live and work in Japan as Assistant Language Teachers for a period of one year, with the possibility of having their contract renewed.

Director of Foreign Policy in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sandy Peters says applicants must possess a minimum of an Undergraduate degree in Education, Teaching or any other area.

Ms. Peters says that so far the response has been very good but she is encouraging persons to submit their application forms to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by February 12th.

Ms. Peters says this is the second time the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has secured the participation of this country in the JET Programme and she is confident that more nationals will be selected this time.
