Skipper Shimron Hetmyer and Tevin Imlach hit half-centuries as the West Indies upset Pakistan by five wickets to cruise into the semi-finals of the ICC Under-19 cricket World Cup yesterday.

Hetmyer scored 52 and Imlach made 54 as the West Indies surpassed Pakistan’s 227 for six with 10 overs to spare.

West Indies will take on host Bangladesh in the second semi-final in on Thursday, while India will play Sri Lanka in the first semi-final.

Meanwhile, Kenya could pull out of this summer’s Rio Olympics if the Zika virus in Brazil reaches “epidemic levels”, says the head of Kenya’s Olympic committee.

The International Olympic Committee says it is in “close contact” with organizers, while Olympic venues will be inspected daily in the lead-up to and during the Games.
