The 2018 Annual Civics Competition organized by WEFM Radio has been postponed to Wednesday October 24, 2018.

The competition was scheduled for today October 19, 2018 but has been postponed due to the inclement weather affecting the island which has lead to the closure of schools today across St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The Civics Competition which is into its 4th year is held annually in the month of October to coincide with the celebration of St. Vincent and the Grenadines anniversary of Independence.

Students are quizzed on General Knowledge, National History, Heritage and Independence of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Four Grade 6 Primary School Students will participate in this year’s competition.

They are: Esric Cruickshank of Buccament Government School, Seante Marshall- Kingstown Preparatory School, Sharonique Jackson- Kingstown Anglican School and Kasumi Baptiste of Sion Hill Government School.

Last year’s competition was won by Buccament Government School.
