The finals of WEFM Radio’s fourth Annual Youth Summer Reading Challenge will conclude tomorrow Friday July 28, 2017, with a ceremony upstairs WEFM’s studios at Lower Questelles.

Five finalists were trained during the period July 24 to 26, 2017, in basic radio broadcast presentation.

The training sought to build more confident readers by exposing them to training in Fluency, Confidence, Voice and Diction. It was also designed to expose teens to careers in Media.

The finalists in the challenge competed earlier today by reading the news LIVE On air on WEFM 99.9.

The best reader, as decided by the judges, will emerge as the overall winner of the challenge.

The winner of this year’s Reading Challenge will be announced at tomorrow’s closing ceremony which takes place at 9:30 in the morning.
