WEFM Radio in collaboration with DIGICEL is holding its second Youth Summer Reading Challenge this year.

The WEFM-DIGICEL Youth Summer reading Challenge is open to young people ages 13 to 15 and seeks to build more confident readers by exposing them to training in Fluency, Confidence, Voice and Diction.

Founder and co-ordinator of the WEFM-DIGICEL Youth Summer reading Challenge, Demion Mc Tair said this programme is being held at a time when officials within the Education sector are seeking to address the deficiency in reading among young people in this country.

Mr. Mc Tair said the Summer Programme will be conducted in three rounds, a preliminary, semi-finals and the finals.

Registration for the WEFM-DIGICEL Youth Summer reading Challenge is currently open and interested parents and guardians can obtain forms at WEFM’s Kingstown or Questelles Office.

The deadline for submitting completed registration forms is July 28th.
