Ikomolar Laborde – mother of SVG’s 2019 CPEA top performer has commended WE FM for contributing towards her daughter’s success.

Seante Marshall represented the Kingstown Preparatory School – placing first last year in WE FM’s Annual Civics Competition, which is being held in the month of October.

The Civics Competition is held to coincide with the celebration of St. Vincent and the Grenadines anniversary of Independence.

Marshall emerged the top student in the 2019 CPEA examinations, obtaining an average of 96.80% among 1785 Grade 6 students.

In the Civics competition – Grade 6 students are quizzed on General Knowledge, National History, Heritage and Independence of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Speaking with WE FM News Tuesday afternoon, Ms. Laborde said Seante has always been very disciplined.

Meanwhile – Seante Marshall thanked her parents, teachers, students and friends for assisting her in said a lot of work went in to preparing for the exams.

The Ministry said of the 67 schools 51 recorded a pass rate in excess of 80%.

Grade 6 students registered for the 2019 Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA) concluded their final examination on Friday May 17th, 2019.
