The police have detained a man who was listed as “Wanted”, for the offence of attempted murder.
Denzil Sam also known as ‘Scammie’, who was on the run for about two months, was caught by the police on Thursday, December 3rd, 2015, at a house in Ottley Hall.
Sam appeared before the Serious Offences Court on Friday December 4th, and was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on December 15th, 2015.
Sam, a 29-year-old unemployed male of Ottley Hall, is accused of shooting Dexter Rodney of Rockies at Rose Place on October 1st, 2015.
Besides being charged with attempted murder, he was also charged with having an unlicensed .380 pistol in his possession with seven rounds of .380 ammunition, at the time of his arrest.
