The chief executive officer of the St. Vincent electricity services, Thornley Myers says an important aspect of hydro electricity is its dependence of the forest.
He was speaking at the Richmond hydro plant last week where it was reconstructed at the cost of 7.5 million dollars.
He said every individual has a role to play in preserving this country’s forest as they are crucial to the health and well being of the people.
Myers added that if there are no forest there will water and if there is no water there will be no hydro.
