Venezuelan President His Excellency, Nicolas Maduro has announced plans for the setting up of a foundation to allow for better cooperation between St. Vincent and the Grenadines and three states in Venezuela that border the Caribbean Sea.

This is among several projects, announced by President Maduro at a media conference held earlier today at the International Airport at Argyle.

He also revealed that 50 petro houses are to be constructed for poor people. This he said will be a pilot project to be carried out here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

President Maduro also announced the provision of 7,500 tablets for primary school students in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The tablets which were manufactured in Venezuela are expected to arrive here soon.

Mr. Maduro further noted that students from Venezuela are scheduled to come to St. Vincent and the Grenadines to learn English Language.
