Jamaica’s Track and field legend Usain Bolt claimed his fourth Laureus World Sportsman of the Year Award.

The 30-year-old Jamaican, who previously won the award in 2009, 2010 and 2013, staved off competition from Rio Olympics 5,000 and 10,000 metres champion Mo Farah and tennis gold medal winner Andy Murray, who were shortlisted, along with football megastar Ronaldo and NBA basketball superstars Lebron James and Stephen Curry.

Meanwhile, Sportswoman of the Year, a category in which sprint Queen Elaine Thompson was nominated, went to American gymnast Simone Biles.
