Unstable conditions continue to affect St.Vincent and the Grenadines.

Our afternoon forecast is for generally cloudy skies, occasional moderate to heavy showers, periods of rain and possible isolated thunderstorm activity.

The local Meteorological Services says these conditions could persist the weekend; as a low level trough is expected across the area early Thursday and another tropical wave is expected in our vicinity by late Saturday into Sunday.

Models still project rainfall accumulations of 2 inches possible today and greater amounts into tonight.

Already the Argyle station recorded 20.5 millimeters during this morning, greater amounts would have occurred in mountainous areas.

Residents and motorist in areas prone to flooding and landslides should exercise caution.
