The University of the West Indies Open Campus, in collaboration with the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (ECSC) and LegalEase Incorporated, will be hosting a public lecture next week.

The Honourable Justice Adrian Saunders of the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) will deliver the lecture on the topic, ‘The Treaty of Chaguaramas: Conflicts and Contradictions for the Island State’.

Justice Saunders was called to the Bar of St. Vincent and the Grenadines in 1977 and remained in private practice until he was called to higher public service as a judge of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court in 1996.

He was confirmed as a Justice of the Appeal of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court; subsequently acting as Chief Justice until his appointment as a judge of the Caribbean Court of Justice in 2005.

The public lecture, the first in the Lecture Series, “Issues in International Affairs” for the 2016/2017 academic year, will take place on Tuesday May 16 from 7pm at Frenches House.
