Tuesday February 14, 2017 has officially been declared a Public Holiday here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, for the official opening and commencement of operations at the Argyle International Airport (AIA).
This declaration was made by Governor General His Excellency Sir Fredrick Ballantyne.
Section 3 (1) of the Public Holiday Act Cap. 274 of the Revised Laws of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, 2009, provides that the Governor General acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister, may at anytime, by proclamation, declare any day a Public holiday.
