T&T Government nominates President of the Senate for head of state position

The Government of Trinidad and Tobago, lead by Dr. Keith Rowley, has announced the 7^th head of state.

Last Friday 6^th January Dr. Rowley named Chrisine Kangaloo, as his administration’s contender – to substitute Paula Mae Weekes.

Prime Minister Rowley, told reporters at a new conference, that the meeting between government and opposition MP’s went very well.

However, following the meeting; Opposition Leader Kamla Persad Bissessar told reporters that she has a number of concerns, noting that that she is not in favor of the candidate.
