Tropical Storm Henri, the eighth named storm of the 2015 Atlantic season, is no longer a threat to Bermuda, according to the Bermuda Weather Service.

As of 12pm, the storm’s closest point of approach had passed and the storm is now located about 203 nautical miles east of the Island.

According to the US National Hurricane Centre, “Henri is moving toward the north near 9 miles per hour and this general motion is expected to continue with an increase in forward speed through tonight.

Some strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours.
