Vaccination points in St. Vincent and the Grenadines will be increased to at least 9 in the near future; this is according to Prime Minister Dr. Hon. Ralph Gonsalves.

“If we look at these 5,000 doses which will cover 2,500 people and clearly they can vaccinate that number of persons in a week, they have the capacity to do that and I think that they’re finalizing, this morning, the number of vaccination points they will have. They will increase the number from four or five, maybe to as many as nine, depending on the demand and the availability of the vaccine. We are hoping that we get some more of the AstraZeneca vaccine pretty soon from the COVAX system.” Gonsalves said.

There are 839 active cases of COVID-19 in SVG. 1,457 cases have been reported since March 2020. A total of 6 COVID-19 related deaths have been recorded and there have been a total of 612 confirmed COVID-19 recoveries reported.
