The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that the video being circulated on Social Media, over the past few days, in the form of a News Story that reports on an imminent eruption of La Soufriere Volcano, a hostage situation at the Argyle International Airport, and a kidnapping situation at the La Soufriere Mountain is not factual.
The announcement was made by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sir Louie Straker, in a National Address this morning.
Minister Straker said the video forms part of Phase 2 of the 2019 Exercise Trade Winds, currently being held in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Minister Straker has given the assurance that St. Vincent and the Grenadines is under no Volcanic Threat.
