The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Table Tennis Association has donated a Table Tennis Board and other Table Tennis equipment to the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force.

A handing over ceremony was held at the Old Montrose Police Station on Tuesday October 2, 2018.

Delivering brief remarks, president of the SVG Table Tennis Association Mr. Orville Haslam, applauded the Police Force for their efforts in ensuring that table tennis is once again a staple in the sports and physical fitness initiatives employed by the organization.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mr. Frankie Joseph in his remarks, commended the SVG Table Tennis Association for partnering with the constabulary to aid in the resuscitation of the sport.

He also reminded the audience of the touted glory days, when the Police Force dominated the sport.

The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force expressed sincere gratitude to the SVG Table Tennis Association for this significant donation, and promised that the donation would facilitate the redevelopment of table tennis in the constabulary and would ultimately be used as a tool to foster positive relationship with communities throughout St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
