Jackson, who was 44-year-old at the time, was found dead in the back seat of his vehicle a short distance from his home in Cane Garden on March 6, 2006. He died of a single shot to the chest.

Jackson, a former journalist, was instrumental in bringing the Unity Labour Party (ULP) led by Dr. Ralph Gonsalves to office in March 2001 and in its winning the general elections of December 2005.

He is remembered for having revolutionized talk radio here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, taking it to the streets, and using it as a means to champion the cause of the populace.

Jackson was the founder of the popular “Shake Up” interactive program aired from Mondays to Fridays here on WEFM.

He is fondly remembered by residents of Frenches, the community in which he grew up and spent a considerable part of his life.

A man, Francis Williams, then age 25, was on February 28, 2008 acquitted of the murder of Jackson.

Scotland Yard detectives had assisted police in St. Vincent and the Grenadines with investigation of the murder.
