The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) has been recently commended for their hard work and success for the year 2018.

However, even though crime is still a major problem in the small country, there has been a vast decrease in gun related homicides in 2018 compared to previous years.

Speaking this morning on WEFM’s morning program, Hesran Ballantyne, Assistant Superintendant of the Criminal Investigation Department stated that major crimes in 2018 saw a reduction compared to 2017 and that could not of happen without the hard work of the public.

He stated that most of the homicides are gun related and it is of major concern.

Assistant Superintendant Ballantyne further stated that the RSVGPF will continue to work with the public to fight crime.
