St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Monday September 7th 2020, confirmed one (1) new COVID-19 case.

The new case is a Vincentian national who arrived in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on September 5th from Jamaica. The in flight contacts of this person are in the process of being informed of their exposure.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines has now recorded a total of sixty-two (62) COVID-19 cases, fifty-eight (58) of which have recovered. There are now four (4) active COVID-19 cases.

Due to the rapidly increasing number of cases of COVID-19 in some CARICOM member states, the ‘Protocol for the Entry of Travelers’ into St. Vincent and the Grenadines was on Monday September 7th revised to place the British Virgin Islands, Surinam, Guyana and Belize into the High Risk Category.

Travelers from these countries will have to quarantine in a Tourism Authority/MOHWE approved Hotel for five (5) days at their cost.

The public is reminded of the importance of ensuring that all persons arriving in St. Vincent and the Grenadines comply fully with the quarantine protocols in place.
