St. Vincent and the Grenadines recorded a significant increase in cruise passenger arrivals in 2017 compared to in 2016.

Minister of Tourism, Sports and Culture, Cecil Mckie, made the disclosure this morning as he spoke on the Shakeup programme aired here on WEFM.

According to the Tourism Minister, there was an increase of 75 per cent in cruise arrivals for the period January to December 2017 compared to 2016.

He said that a total of 174, 236 cruise passengers arrived here in 2017, compared to 99,542 in 2016.

Minister Mckie noted that the 2017 tourism season also saw an increase in arrivals by yacht to St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
