The SVG Good Hearts Foundation in collaboration with BDS Nice Radio extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to the activities held to assist persons in Tortola who fell victim to the passing of Hurricane Irma.
The organization expresses much appreciation for the positive feedback and generous donations received under the circumstances.
On Thursday September 14, the SVG Good Hearts Foundation hosted a hurricane relief benefit concert where persons were able to donate non-perishable food items, canned goods, toiletries, cash and other items.
The group also held a small collection drive on September 9.
Esworth “Ezzie” Roberts, Public Relations Officer of the SVG Good Hearts Foundation says the total value raised in a relatively short space of time, is in excess of EC $40,000 in cash and valuables.
Mr. Roberts says all tangible donations have already been shipped to the British Virgin Islands (BVI) and a cash donation of EC$20,000 will be made to the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Association of the British Virgin Islands, headed by Mr. Devon Letteen.
