The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College (SVGCC) is playing a significant role towards achieving the government’s goal of having one university graduate per household in this country by the year 2025.

This was opined by Director of the SVG Community College, Mr. Nigel Scott in his remarks on Monday at a ceremony at the College’s Villa campus, where a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the SVGCC and Humber college of Canada.

The agreement allows for graduates from the 2-year SVGCC Associate’s Degree in Business Studies who achieve the required grades to join the 2nd year of Humber’s Bachelor of Commerce programs in Hospitality and Tourism Management, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Fashion Management, Management Studies and Digital Business Management.

Mr. Scott said education is critical for the development of any country, and it is the citizens of this country who will benefit most as we become a more educated population.

Meanwhile, Mr. Andrew Nest, a representative of Humber College encouraged the students of the SVGCC to take advantage of this opportunity that is now available to them.
