The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Christian Council is calling for calm and a sense of right judgement – following the dismissal of the petitions filed by the opposition New Democratic Party, by the High court.

In a release, the Christian council made an appeal to Prime Minister, Dr. the Hon. Ralph Gonsalves and the Leader of the Opposition, Dr. the Hon. Godwin Friday and all Parliamentarians to take all reasonable steps, to influence supporters and members of the public to remain calm and peaceful at all times, to respect the judgement and to promote tolerance, good will and harmony.

It further stated that it is imperative that prayers be held for the nation, and that through submission to the reign of God, the people of SVG may assume those responsibilities, which make for the good and well-being of all Vincentians.
