St. Vincent and the Grenadines is being affected by a tropical wave which is expected to continue with moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorm activity.

This is according to the National Emergency Management Organisation, who in a release said Cloudiness should increase across the island and Residents and motorists should be alert as flash-flooding is possible during the passage of this tropical wave.

NEMO however states that shower activity should be reduced by late this evening before a trough approaches the area with few scattered showers on tomorrow.

NEMO is appealing to all motorist and residents living in landslide and flood prone areas, near rivers and streams are asked to be alert.

The release also says that Patches of Saharan dust and associated dry-air could limit shower activity and reduce visibility with moderate to thick haze across our area on Tuesday.
