Students who will be writing external examinations this year, returned to their classrooms on Monday May 25th 2020.

In light of this, the  Ministry of Education has ruled of a number of operational safety guidelines and protocols, in preparation for the safe reopening of the Primary, Secondary and Tertiary and Technical Institutions across St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Chief Education Officer, Elizabeth Walker, has given the assurance that the Ministry of Education has all the necessary arrangements in place.

Speaking on radio, Walker outlined the transportation arrangement that are in place, for students returning to their classrooms today.

Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves  has given the assurance, that the Government has spent thousands of dollars in preparation for the reopening of schools today. Classes began at 9:30 this morning and will conclude at 2:30 this afternoon.

Online teaching will continue for all other students, Dr. Gonsalves said the Ministry of Education, has been receiving good support, from school principals.
