Students across St. Vincent and the Grenadines returned to the classroom this morning for the new school term for 2016.
Hon. St. Clair Jimmy Prince in his first address since taking up the post as Minister of Education urged the students to engage in a lot of reading, since doing so will enable them to improve their ability to read and speak properly, and will aid in raising their level of achievement.
The Minister of Education also urged parents and guardians to provide the necessary boundaries and guidance to their children, and to ensure that they attend school regularly.
Minister Prince also thanked former Minister of Education, Girlyn Miguel for her outstanding years of service to that Ministry.
