The Ministry of Tourism is inviting students to participate in the 2018 Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) Foundation’s Caribbean Children’s Environmental Essay Competition.
Participating students should submit one essay written in English, 500 words in length, on the topic: “What cultural aspect of my country should cruise passengers experience?”
Essays will be judged on content/subject, creativity, style/structure and grammar.
The essay contest will be conducted in two categories; a junior division for children ages 12 and under and a senior division for children ages 13 – 16 years.
The FCCA will award cash scholarships of US $3,000, US $1,500 and US $1,000 to the first, second and third place winners from the two age categories and their respective schools.
National finalists (except first, second and third place winners in each category) submitted by the destination will receive US $200.
Essays should be submitted to the Ministry of Tourism no later than Friday, August 3, 2018.
