The governments of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the Republic of China (Taiwan) are continuing to collaborate in the area of health.

A team of medical personnel from the Taiwan Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH) is currently in state and is working closely with the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.

This is the second medical team from the CCH to visit St. Vincent and the Grenadines for this year. The team arrived on November 19 and will be here until December 9, 2017.

It is the twelfth visit of the CCH medical team to SVG since 2010.

The visiting team comprises of an Emergency Room Doctor, Surgeon, Anesthesiologist, Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture) Operating Room Nurse and Intensive Care Unit Nurse.

The team is led by Dr. Nina Kao.

Earlier this week, medical supplies of muscle relaxers, air exchange catheter, tube oximeters and tube holders were donated to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.

MCMH and CCH were twined in August of 2010. Since then, the two hospitals have strengthened their cooperation and interaction continuously.

In the May of this year, one doctor and two pharmacists of the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital visited CCH to participate in training programs.
