Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting incident which took place at Gomea yesterday November 2, 2017.

Reports are that the victims were walking along the public road when an unknown assailant approached them and started shooting.

The victims are Mendorra Simmons, a 21-year-old, unemployed of Belair who sustained injuries to her left thigh and is a patient at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.

Emry Holder, a 19-year-old, mechanic of Belair and Orlando Jackson, age 26 of Cane End both sustained injuries and subsequently died.

Postmortem examination is expected to be performed on the bodies.

This has brought the total number of homicides to thirty-seven.
