Twenty-four year old Shellisa Nanton of Overland has been crowned Miss SVG 2018.
Ms. Nanton, who emerged the winner from a field of seven contestants during the staging of the pageant on the night of Saturday June 2, 2018 at Victoria Park, will receive a university scholarship valued EC$80,000.
Ms. Nanton, who was sponsored by the National Lotteries Authority, was awarded Miss Photogenic, and won the judged categories of Best Evening Gown and Best Interview.
Miss Mustique Company Limited, Criscione Morgan, was adjudged First Runner Up, while Cameisha Foster – Miss Vincentian Chocolate copped the Second Runner position and also took the award for Best Talent.
Miss Massy Stores SVG Limited- Morrissia Williams received the Miss Congeniality award, while Nazira Graham – Miss Metrocint General Insurance Company Limited received the award for Best Swimwear.
This year’s pageant was held under the theme “Women Who Empower.”
