As the celebrations continue here to mark this country’s Political anniversary of Independence, Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has highlighted some critical issues, that must be addressed, as St. Vincent and the Grenadines moves forward into the future.
Dr. Gonsalves give an overview of these issues, as he presented the Annual Independence Anniversary Lecture – hosted last night by the University of the West Indies Open Campus SVG Sight.
Speaking on the theme “Construction, Re-construction and Transformation; The promise of Independence, the Prime Minister said although immense progress has been made over the last forty years, there is still work that needs to be done.
The Prime Minister also noted that several other Critical issues will have to be tackled going forward – including the situation regarding vulnerable groups as well as good governance.
