Officials in the Ministries of Education, Health and Social Development, as well as teachers, particularly, of the North Union and Georgetown Secondary Schools, have been urged to pay great attention to the survivors and families of the Rock Gutter tragedy.
This admonition came from Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Ralph Gonsalves during his tribute yesterday at the Memorial Service for the victims of the tragic accident that occurred at Rock Gutter on January 12th, 2015.
The Prime Minister noted that although one year has passed since the tragedy, some of the survivors are still in pain.
Meanwhile, Opposition Leader, Hon. Arnhim Eustace in his remarks questioned whether there has been a review of this country’s rescue operations and other programmes, in an effort to avoid a similar tragedy occurring.
