Sixty-seven students are set to benefit from scholarships and bursaries awarded in a joint effort by the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF), the Police Cooperative Credit Union (PCCU) and the SVG Ex-Police Association.

The students, who were successful at the Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA), received their awards in a ceremony held outside of the police canteen, on Wednesday August 19th. Most of the students’ parents are active or retired police officers.

The scholarships will support the children for the next seven years, through secondary school, and the St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College (SVGCC), provided they enroll at the institution.

Commissioner of Police Colin John has touted the police scholarship as the “biggest and best scholarship” in the country.
