ProjectMEN2020 has joined with the men and boys of the nation, the Caribbean and the rest World in celebrating, International Men’s Day (IMD). Since the 1960’s there have been persistent international calls for the creation of an IMD.
International Men’s Day is now celebrated annually on the 19 November and was started in 1999 by Dr. Jerome Teelucksingh a history lecturer at University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago.
The theme for International Men’s Day 2020 is “Better health for men and boys”.
The theme this year focuses on the improvement and enhancement of health and wellbeing of the male population across the world.
In St. Vincent and the Grenadines, several primary and secondary schools are hosting activities today to celebrate the occasion.
