Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has announced an increase in the number of students who will be entering the division of nursing education programme this year.
In his Independence Day address at the Victoria Park yesterday, Prime Minister Gonsalves said he has authorized the Community College to recruit 80 persons, an increase of 15 persons on the next batch of students.
The Prime Minister also announced that provision will made in the 2016 Budget for nursing assistants to be made pensionable public servants.
