Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves is calling on the Inland Revenue Department to follow up properly for persons to pay their property taxes.
Speaking Friday February 26th 2016 on the Shakeup program here on WEFM, Dr. Gonsalves said the Inland Revenue Department is often late in sending out their notices.
He noted that on average just about 50 percent of persons in this country pay their property taxes.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Gonsalves further noted that he will be meeting next week with the Comptroller and Director General of the Inland Revenue Department to discuss the lack of compliance by several entities and individuals to pay their taxes.
