Persons are being urged to refrain from parking their motor vehicles in prohibited areas in capital city Kingstown, when attending activities for this year’s Vincy Mas.

Inspector Henry Providence of the Traffic Department of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force says the issue of illegal parking is very rampant at carnival time.

Inspector Providence said the Police will be very vigilant and take action against persons who flout the law and by engaging in illegal parking of their vehicle.

Meanwhile, with over 30,000 registered vehicles in this country, the Traffic Department is encouraging persons who will be coming into Kingstown for the carnival festivities to consider carpooling.
