Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting of a female on Tuesday, June 13, 2017.
According to police, information received is that at approximately 11:23pm on Tuesday, Benika Samuel, a 19 year old resident of Ottley Hall received a bullet to her neck while at a bar in Kingstown.
Police further learned that the woman was involved in an altercation which resulted in her being shot.
The woman is currently at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.
An individual is being held in connection with the shooting and is currently assisting Police with their investigation.
Meanwhile, Schemel Dunbar, also known as ‘Jacket’, a 28-year-old labourer of Rillan Hill was charged yesterday with the murder of 52-year-old Malcolm Pollin of Vermont. Pollin was shot to death on Sunday, March 12, 2017.
