Four teams representing Petit Bordel Secondary, St. Vincent Girls High School, and the Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College, emerged winners yesterday in the 3rd annual Idea and Innovation competition hosted by the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC).

The winners were announced at the closing and prize giving ceremony held at the National Insurance Services (NIS) Main Conference Room.

In the Secondary School Idea Category, PBSS Inventors of Petit Bordel Secondary won the top prize of $2,000 from the NTRC, and smart phones from telecommunications provider LIME.

In the Mobile application category, Inventory of the Girl’s High School placed first and received $3,500 from the NTRC, smart phones from Digicel and a gift voucher from Fanfare Events.

Meanwhile, the Tertiary Idea category was won by New Millennium of the Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies of the SVG Community College who received $2,000 from the NTRC and one year free internet from FLOW.

The Innovative Five of the Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies won the Tertiary Mobile Application category, and received $3,500 from the NTRC, and Samsung Galaxy tab 4s from King Computer Corporation.
