Over 1300 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in ST. Vincent and the Grenadines. This information was disclosed during the Ministry of Health’s weekly COVID-19 update press conference yesterday.

“1,330 doses of the vaccine has been administered, 1,325 persons have received their first dose and five persons their second.” Statistical Officer within the Ministry of Health, Mrs. Maxine Glasgow said.

1,305 doses of the vaccines administered so far are the AstraZeneca variant, while the remainder is the Sputnik V.

Mrs. Cottle went on to disclose how many Healthcare Workers had been vaccinated against the disease so far.

“Of those vaccinated, 150 are Healthcare workers, which is 11.3 percent of the total number of persons vaccinated. Healthcare workers include: doctors, nurses, laboratory technicians and attendants, just to name a few.”
