Over 1,000 students who recently received their results from the CAPE, CSEC and Associate Degree examinations have qualified to receive $500 from the government, which is distributed annually; this is according to this country’s Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Ralph Gonsalves.
“Our students who recently received their results from the CSEC, CAPE and Associate Degree examinations, 1,047 students, 630 at CSEC, 210 at CAPE, and 207 at the Associate Degree level have achieved the required standard to be paid the $500 initiative which our government introduced many years ago.” Gonsalves said.
The Prime Minister went on to disclose that there is a group of 53 students who are having their results reviewed and will potentially qualify to receive the payment as well.
Dr. Gonsalves said that the cost of this package comes in at a cost of $550,000.
