A US based Vincentian political activist, Luzette King was scheduled to appear in court today after being arrested yesterday on a charge of inconveniencing the public.

The charge stems from an incident during a protest in Kingstown during which police attempted to physically remove protesters from in front of the Electoral Office.

According to I-Witness News, King was charged that on January 6th at Bay Street in Kingstown, she “did cause inconvenience to the public in the exercise of common rights, to wit, by sitting in the public road, hindering the free flow of traffic.”

She was released on station bail after 4:00pm.
