At wits end with the Freundel Stuart administration, the Opposition Barbados Labour Party (BLP) is gearing up to hit the streets for a National March of Disgust and Rally in another two weeks, party leader Mia Mottley announced on Wednesday.

According to Caribbean 360 News, she said the March 11 event would be “the first salvo by the Barbados Labour Party to let it be known that enough is enough”.

Delivering a scathing assessment of the Prime Minister’s handling of the country’s worsening economic state and the bitter falling out between Finance Minister Chris Sinckler and Central Bank Governor Dr. Delisle Worrell, Mottley accused Stuart of “being entirely disconnected from and unconcerned with the affairs of State and presiding over a dysfunctional government”.

She told journalists at a news conference that the BLP was determined that “no one, not even the titular leader of this country, must be allowed to stand in the way of the urgent need to stop the hemorrhaging, stabilize the country and put us back on the proper path to recovery”.
