Minister of Health, Wellness and the Environment Hon. Luke Browne during a message to the nation last night reminded Vincentians that they should accommodate themselves to the possibility of a new normal.

“It would be a mistake for us to believe that we can go back to normal, in fact we have to accommodate ourselves to the reality of a potential new normal, there is no room for complacency.” Browne said.

The Health Minister said he had been religiously following the guidance emanating from various public health agencies around the world and that through doing so he had noticed two recurring themes.

“I notice two recurring themes; the need for us to guard against becoming complacent and the importance of maintaining essential services, even while we deploy resources to control the pandemic.”

St.Vincent and the Grenadines currently has 21 active cases of COVID-19, 29 confirmed recoveries and zero deaths related to the virus.
