No additional musical equipment is to be installed in the School buses received from the Government of Taiwan.

Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves made it clear that this is one of the terms of the lease agreement to be signed between the government and the private operators to whom the buses will be leased.

To the students who enjoy travelling in buses with loud music, Prime Minister Gonsalves said that not having amplified music in the school buses will be for their benefit and health.

Meanwhile, Minister of Transport and Works, Julian Francis said the government will be closely monitoring the operations of the school buses.

Minister Francis said there are 47 applicants of which ten will be selected later this week to become the operators of the schools buses.
